Western Truck Rental Ltd add more Wheelbase Engineering demountable equipment onto their Home Hardware contract.

Western Truck Rental Ltd of Barnstaple have recently supplied their client Home Hardware with a quantity of replacement Mercedes Actros and Axor rigid trucks equipped with Wheelbase Engineering demountable equipment and drawbar trailers. 

All of the equipment supplied has been manufactured to be compatible with the existing demountable fleet.  To ensure the drivers are well catered for and that the system is as user friendly as possible the equipment includes numerous features to enhance the specification.  One crucial introduction is the addition of a tuck under style tail lift to the demountable drawbar trailers, thereby giving the driver the choice of swopping bodies or delivering direct from the trailer as circumstances demand.

Demountables and drawbar trailers provide an established cost effective distribution solution for many operators with long stem mileages, hence there continued popularity particularly with own account operators such as Home Hardware.

Western Truck Rental has their own bodybuilding facility, therefore the Wheelbase Engineering demountable baseframes have been manufactured to suit their preferred construction methods ensuring a seamless build process when the pre-painted baseframes are delivered to the body shop.
