New trailer, original tank.

J E Lawrence & son Ltd are well known in West Wales for the impressive fleet of fuel tankers operated by Richard Lawrence.  Nothing about Richard’s fleet of vehicles could be called average or run of the mill, as Richard will freely admit; image and presence within his area of operation are of the utmost importance to him.

All of Richard’s vehicles are specified to an extremely high standard, so when it came to replacing a drawbar trailer his requirements and expectations were equally as high.  In this case the existing tank was in immaculate condition, so we at Wheelbase Engineering were charged with the task of producing a new finish painted chassis to accept the original tank that Richard intended to install in his own workshop.  Having accepted the challenge, a new trailer was designed and manufactured to accommodate the tank and all of its complex ancillary equipment; the tank was installed with the minimum of fuss and as the picture will testify now complements the rest of this high profile fleet.
